WHEEL OF FORTUNE Skateboarders know the streets better than most. After all most of us are usually downtown when were skating. Without a doubt your going to run into bums and the occational rambling kook. In my day, ive run into bums that arent allowed in the nearest Target but manage to keep up on the latest R&B songs well enough to serenade me with them. Its times like these when im proud to say im a skateboarder.(you may be asking yourself why dont I say "skater" instead of "skateboarder". This is because people might mistake it for rollerblading, and you know we all dont want that!) Many of us have gotten a loud mouth reputation, which is in some respects true. But i feel we have more opportunities than most to do so. Example: your skating in front of your local 76 Station, when all of the sudden, a balding, out of shape Indian man comes running out screaming "Get out of here you little bastards!" Now, right off the bat, this guy reminds you of PAT SAJACK, but the only problem is, his lovely CO-host, EVANNAH WHITE, is not by his side! Enfuriated by her absence, the only word that comes to your mind is "fuck you." followed by "suck my dick." The Indian man, barely speaking decodable English, threatens to call the cops. Since the man was so rude and used such naughty language around you, the right thing to do would've been to stay away a while, in protest so to speak. But, skateboarders are a forgiving crowd. So just to show the man how nice you are, you come back THE VERY NEXT DAY to skate as a sign of Forgiveness. The Indian man is so happy, you figure he wouldnt mind if you took some free candy from his store. It is then you realize what a nice person the Indian man really is, so you give him a smile when you walk out. See, we skaters are not as bad as everyone thinks. | ||||||||||||||||
